Chocolate Dipped Strawberries – The Day After Valentine’s Day Breakfast!

Chocolate Dipped StrawberriesSo, it’s the morning after Valentines day and you are struggling to come up with an idea to follow through on the amazing dinner you served last night! Try these quick, easy and simple ideas to keep the romantic mood coming! Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon vegan butter
  • 200 grams of vegan gluten free chocolate that melts (about 7 ounces of chocolate) The chocolate needs to be able to solidify after melting

Wash your strawberries (this recipe is good for 5 to 10 average sized strawberries). Allow the strawberries to dry completely before proceeding. Or, if you are in a hurry, dry them with towels or paper towels. Make room in your refrigerator for a small plate with strawberries before proceeding as well.

Coat a small pan with the vegan butter. Add the chocolate in small pieces into the pan. Place the pan over a very low temperature (we used 1 out of 9 on our stove) and stir constantly until the chocolate melts completely. Once chocolate has melted, tilt the pan and dip each strawberry in the chocolate and allow the excess to drip off.  Finally, place the dipped strawberry onto a plate lines with a piece of parchment paper until all strawberries have been dipped. Then, place the dipped strawberries in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Serve with your favorite fruits and juices!
