Raw Vegan Taco Meat – Spicy

Raw Vegan Taco Meat Spicy

We made our raw vegan taco meat spicy! It’s very delicious on it’s own but with the added cayenne pepper(s) it becomes sweat inducing! Here is how we made it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of raw walnuts soaked in water overnight
  • ½ Tablespoon of tamari
  • 1 Tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of paprika
  • ½ teaspoon of dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 to 2 Cayenne peppers (depending on how much spice you desire)

After your walnuts have soaked in water overnight (for best results soak them for a full 24 hours) you will need a blender or food processor to complete this recipe. Wash the cayenne pepper(s) and cut off the green top. Add the cayenne pepper(s) to the blender or food processor with all the other ingredients except the soaked walnuts. Pulse or blend until the pepper(s) are in small pieces. Then add the soaked walnuts (after draining or straining the water out of them) and blend or pulse until the walnuts are in small pieces that resembles “meat”.

That’s all there is to this one, it’s a very quick and simple recipe after you wait for the walnuts to soak in water!
