Vegan Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Vegan Chicken Alfredo Pizza Recipe

This is yet another classic pizza recipe I wanted to make vegan style. It turned out to be amazing! We were both very impressed with it. Here is how you can make your own gluten free vegan chicken alfredo pizza:

First, you will need to prepare our Easy Gluten Free Vegan Pizza Crust Recipe (click here).

After you prepare the crust, make some garlic butter. In a medium sauce pan add the following:

  • 3 Tablespoons of vegan butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt

Melt the butter by placing the sauce pan over medium heat on the stove. Once the butter begins melting, add the garlic and sea salt. Stir occasionally until you smell the garlic. Be careful to not burn the garlic cloves! So, when you smell the garlic remove from heat and brush all of the garlic butter over the center of the pizza crust all the way to the inside edges of the crust. Set the crust aside and move on to the next step.

Next, you will want to prepare some Grilled Italian Tofu Chicken (for recipe, click here). You will only need to make half or the tofu for this pizza. Use the same amount of ingredients for the recipe but 200 grams or 1 1/2 cups of chopped tofu chicken cubes will be the perfect amount for this pizza.

Now, make the alfredo sauce. Here are the ingredients:

  • 3 Tablespoons of vegan butter
  • 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of raw cane sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 2 cups (400 ml) of almond cream*
  • 1 cup of grated or shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
  • 6 Tablespoons of nutritional yeast
  • dash of ground black pepper

Get a medium sized sauce pan. Add the vegan butter and olive oil. Melt the butter over medium heat on the stove, then, add the garlic. Saute the garlic until you smell it. Next, pour the almond cream in. Add the sugar, sea salt and ground black pepper; stir.

Turn the heat up to medium-high and bring to a simmer. Once you see movement in the liquid turn the heat back down to medium and add the nutritional yeast. Stir until nutritional yeast is mixed completely. Finally, add the vegan cheese and you guessed it… stir until smooth. This is your Alfredo sauce! Set aside.

Preheat your oven to 160° Celsius (320° F)

Chop a medium sized tomato into cubes.

Chop or rip about a 1/2 cup of spinach into the size you feel comfortable with putting on your pizza.

Finally, let’s assemble the masterpiece! Pour as much of the Alfredo sauce on top of the garlic buttered pizza crust as you would like. Next, place almost all of the spinach on top of the Alfredo sauce. Place as many of the chopped tomatoes on top of the spinach. Now, place all of the tofu chicken onto the pizza. Cover all the toppings with as much shredded vegan cheese as you would like! Sprinkle the remaining spinach on top of the vegan cheese and place the pizza in the oven. Depending on your oven this pizza should be done in 12 to 15 minutes. The outer crust should not be burning, if it is, remove the pizza from the oven!

Once pizza is done, garnish with dried thyme and serve! You will be glad you took the time to make this one!
