It has been a long time since I have had a soft pretzel with cheese. After our 30 day raw vegan challenge was over this was the first thing I wanted to attempt to make. Working without gluten can be difficult when trying to form shapes with dough but I think these gluten free vegan soft pretzels with cheese turned out great for my first attempt! Here is how I did it: Continue reading Gluten Free Vegan Soft Pretzels with Cheese

We wanted to make a few ideas we had for a nice romantic Valentine’s day dinner. Naturally, the dessert was the easiest idea to come up with: chocolate! We had been wanting to make a version of our vegan gluten free chocolate cake that had orange in it to give it some zest (pun intended). So we made this gluten free vegan chocolate orange cake! It also has melted chocolate chunks in the cake to really melt those chocolate lovers out there 🙂 Here is how we made it: Continue reading Gluten Free Vegan Chocolate Orange Cake
These little balls of bread are very delicious. They go very well with our marinara sauce! Obviously these make a great Super Bowl snack as well. This gluten free vegan meatball bread idea came to existence by accident but ended up being so delicious that we had to share them. A few weeks ago, I was trying to create a gluten-free vegan meatball since most of the ways it’s done uses gluten. I ended up using too much flour and these little meatball breads emerged. Sometimes failures can be a success in the kitchen, rarely, but sometimes. Here is how I made them: Continue reading Gluten Free Vegan Meatball Bread
I really have been wanting to make gluten free vegan banana bread for a while. It seemed we kept buying bananas that were nowhere near ripe enough to pull it off for the longest time! Of course, by the time the bananas were almost ripe enough to make the bread we had eaten them all! I finally was able to do it though and it was very delicious!
I woke up this morning with a little bit of hunger. As I sat contemplating what I wanted to make I realized it had been a long time since I had tasted a good buttermilk pancake. The only question I had was if I could make gluten free vegan buttermilk pancakes. If you are only on a gluten free diet, you’re all set. However, if you are on a vegan diet as well, it takes an extra step or two. Here is how I did it: Continue reading Gluten Free Vegan Buttermilk Pancakes
A perfect, soft eggplant bread! What else are we gonna think of?! 🙂 Continue reading Eggplant Bread
Recently, I was sitting at the computer contemplating what kind of food I wanted to make in the future. Nothing was really coming to mind and for some reason I kept thinking about the two layer eggplant lasagna I had made a few months back. I started wondering if I should attempt another lasagna. How could I make improvements to a dish that is already one of my favorites though? Then it hit me: lasagna pizza! Why had I never thought of this before? It was time to get to work… Continue reading Lasagna Pizza
Traditionally in Greece we hold a dinner on New Year’s Eve, we eat all these amazing things our moms make! Of course you have to have a vasilopita on the dinner table, the traditional round pie in which we hide a coin (wrapped in aluminum foil). Whoever finds the coin in his piece of cake is lucky for the year! Continue reading Vasilopita
These traditional Greek doughnut puffs are slightly crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. They are delicious, slightly sweet and perfect when sprinkled with cinnamon on top. Drizzle some agave or maple syrup on them and garnish with walnut crumbs!
