These little balls of bread are very delicious. They go very well with our marinara sauce! Obviously these make a great Super Bowl snack as well. This gluten free vegan meatball bread idea came to existence by accident but ended up being so delicious that we had to share them. A few weeks ago, I was trying to create a gluten-free vegan meatball since most of the ways it’s done uses gluten. I ended up using too much flour and these little meatball breads emerged. Sometimes failures can be a success in the kitchen, rarely, but sometimes. Here is how I made them: Continue reading Gluten Free Vegan Meatball Bread

Gluten Free Vegan Marinara Sauce
It’s Super Bowl Sunday! If you are anything like me you want to get all your food ready before the big game so you can watch football and the commercials. I made a delicious gluten free vegan marinara sauce that we love as a snack. I have made this recipe many times now and decided it was time to share it. Athanasia says I only make bread now so I can make marinara. She says marinara and I should get a room! I guess I am passionate about marinara sauce! Here is how I did it: Continue reading Gluten Free Vegan Marinara Sauce
Vegan French Onion Soup
Athanasia has been wanting an onion soup for a long time now! I decided it was time to make it, finally. This tasty vegan French onion soup is also gluten free. It does not take a long time to make it at all (after you dice the onions of course) and this recipe will serve two bowls of soup. Continue reading Vegan French Onion Soup
Vegan Sloppy Joes
It has been a long time since I have had sloppy Joes! I have been working with walnuts a lot lately and so it was only a matter of time before I attempted vegan sloppy Joes. The time had come and I must say they taste amazing! One bite of these and you will think you are eating a school lunch all over again! Here is how I did it: Continue reading Vegan Sloppy Joes
Vegan Orange Chicken
This gluten free vegan orange chicken is bursting with flavor! There are a few steps and it requires some patience to make it; however, it’s worth it! Do not be afraid to venture into the unknown! I have been trying new ideas and going where I never imagined I would dare when it comes to cooking and it has been so rewarding! When I first began I was merely dipping my toe in the water and now I am swimming against the current! It feels so good to work so hard at something and pull it off. Let’s get to it, here is how I accomplished vegan orange chicken:
Gluten Free Vegan Buttermilk Pancakes
I woke up this morning with a little bit of hunger. As I sat contemplating what I wanted to make I realized it had been a long time since I had tasted a good buttermilk pancake. The only question I had was if I could make gluten free vegan buttermilk pancakes. If you are only on a gluten free diet, you’re all set. However, if you are on a vegan diet as well, it takes an extra step or two. Here is how I did it: Continue reading Gluten Free Vegan Buttermilk Pancakes
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
I love roasted red pepper hummus and have not had it since I moved to Greece. I’ve always known it was easy to make but I was so used to being able to buy it almost anywhere in Minnesota. My sister and her boyfriend sent us a huge vegan cookbook as a Christmas gift (thanks Krysti and Jacob!) and as of right now it is the only cookbook we own. It has almost 300 pages packed with recipes so it may be the only cookbook we will ever need to own! The name of the cookbook is Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero (click here for link) and it is amazing. We have made some modifications to this recipe after we made it a few times. We prefer our hummus to be runnier than the book’s recipe turned out. Continue reading Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
Lasagna Pizza
Recently, I was sitting at the computer contemplating what kind of food I wanted to make in the future. Nothing was really coming to mind and for some reason I kept thinking about the two layer eggplant lasagna I had made a few months back. I started wondering if I should attempt another lasagna. How could I make improvements to a dish that is already one of my favorites though? Then it hit me: lasagna pizza! Why had I never thought of this before? It was time to get to work… Continue reading Lasagna Pizza
Vegan Italian Sausage Meat
Vegan Italian sausage meat made from walnuts? That’s right, we went there and it is delicious! Thanks to the fennel seeds this recipe has an authentic sausage flavor. In fact, tasting this sausage from walnuts reminds me of the best sausage I ever had before becoming a vegan: Rocky Rococo’s pizza back home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota! This is how it’s done: Continue reading Vegan Italian Sausage Meat
Vegan Chicken Alfredo Pizza
This is yet another classic pizza recipe I wanted to make vegan style. It turned out to be amazing! We were both very impressed with it. Here is how you can make your own gluten free vegan chicken alfredo pizza: Continue reading Vegan Chicken Alfredo Pizza
